The report presents different bacterial groups individually, from Bacteroides and Prevotella to Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Akkermansia muciniphila and Bifidobacterium. Desulfovibrio and Fungi are also included.

In addition to the counts, the relative proportions, diversity, colonisation resistance, enterotype, dysbiosis and microbial activity per group are shown.

What do the examined biological parameters and functions reveal about, among other things, the gut wall, gut barrier and immune function?
Zonulin, alpha-1-antitrypsin, calprotectin and sIgA, together with functions such as butyrate production, LPS production, sulphate reduction, mucus function, gut wall protection, permeability and inflammation of the gut wall, and probiotic function.
